Battery Town Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge 2006-2007

Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge

Life is not a spectator sport

The marque is Porsche. The ingredients are innovation, emotion, aspiration and fascination. The championship is the Battery Town Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Challenge.

This year more than 20 of the most talented and dedicated drivers from New Zealand will pilot Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in a seven-round national championship at the finest motor racing circuits and events in New Zealand.

Entering its fourth season in New Zealand, the GT3 Cup Challenge has developed into the most successful ‘one make’ motor racing championship in the world.

What makes GT3 Cup Challenge racing so exciting is that the cars are as close to identical as you will find in any motor racing series in the world. The winning advantage comes down to driver and team skill, experience and determination.

With a top speed in excess of 300 kilometres per hour, the lightweight, high performance vehicles have a 400 horsepower, 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine which revs to a maximum 8200 RPM, producing a sound that is distinctly Porsche.

And you can be part of it!

We are looking for talented competitors to compete in this year’s championship. Whether you are an experienced racer or looking to develop your skills further, we look forward to welcoming you to this year’s championship.

We have competitively priced cars available now, and running costs are about half the cost of other Tier 1 categories.

So what are you waiting for?
